Abstract
This paper proposes a hybrid discrete optimization method called HDSOS-GOA using Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS) for scientific workflow scheduling in fog computing environments. The method combines Symbiotic Organisms Search (SOS) and Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA) with learning automata to reduce energy usage and makespan while improving performance compared to PSO and GWO algorithms.
